Yahoo’s Search Ad Share Drops 36%
Silicon Alley Insider reports Yahoo’s search ad share have dropped 36% in the fourth quarter of 2008. The numbers come from AdGooroo that claims Yahoo’s search ad share was 30.4% in September, then dropped in 23.7% in October, then to 20.4% in November and then to 19.4% in December. Meanwhile, Microsoft grew from 12% in October to 16.4% in December. - Search Engine Land
Yahoo is in obvious decline and soon there will no Yahoo, but Microhoo vs Google. Yahoo search share are declining almost each month, it`s advertiser shares are declinding as well. Micorosoft has not moved an inch in getting more market share and is confusing everyone with their MSN - Live - Micorosoft brands.
Companies need each other like a drowning puppy needs air. Both are going down in Google`s wrath unless they combine and put up a good fight. The sooner the better. The longer Microsoft delays, the more time Google has to strike Microsoft on software and OS fronts. Act now or die.
