Microsoft is Shutting Adcenter Analytics

Search Engine Land reports that Microsoft is shutting down its Adcenter analytics.

Our team would like to sincerely thank you for your participation and your invaluable contributions to the program. Our objectives at the outset were to serve the needs of small and midsize self-service customers, as well as evolve the Microsoft strategy to address the Web analytics space.

It is not clear at this point whether the Microsoft is going to release a product at a later date. I would think it would be a logical step for the company to take since analytics offers deep look into visitor behavior and website usage which Microsoft need in order to compete with Google.

There are still no news whether Microsoft will be buying Yahoo, but the buzz says they are.

Picasa Gets Google Adwords

Google’s Picasa is getting Adwords, just like Google News and Google Image Search.

Google Operating System reports Picasa is the latest Google property to be monetized with Google AdWords ads. If you conduct searches for pictures in Picasa’s web albums, you will find the ads at the top of the image results.

Google continues to increase its revenue stream in this downed economy by placing ads on every property it can. It stock price went down from whopping $700 to $350 which forced Google to pay down money to its employees.

The question is? How much can Google monetize? There are only so many properties it can put ads on? What happens after? Where does it go in search of revenue? Mobile search and book search look very good.

Conservative State Legislator Wants To Limit Info On Maps To Block Terrorists

Citing the Mumbai terrorists’ statement that they used Google Maps as a planning tool, a conservative California legislator (from El Cajon) has introduced a bill which would “not allow online mapping tools from companies like Google Inc. to provide aerial or satellite images of schools, places of worship, government buildings and medical facilities unless they have been blurred.” http://searchengineland.com/conservative-state-legislator-wants-to-limit-info-on-maps-to-limit-terrorists-tools-16835

The “terrorist” fairlytale is used to scare the unwary public into submission to draconian laws. loos of liberty, war and gradual decline of the state into facsism. Since 9/11 US has literally lost consitution. Under Patriot Act and Military Commissions Act any person on the US soil can be arrested and sent to prison, without reason simply under suspicion of terrorism. State decides who is a suspect wihtout any evidence.

Last week Google has rolled out a new update giving free boost to big brands for core terms such as: “car insurance”, “airline tickets” etc. Google’s Matt Cutts refused to admit there was an update, but facts show otherwise. There is a lot of noise on the internet with a lot of gurus denying the update, but it is obvious something happened.

Find Cheap Vacation Packages with XMLShareware.com

The recession is hitting both US and Canada hard. The business is down and we are getting less customer submissions than usual, but I still want to get away on a vacation!

Looking for cheap vacation packages I stumbled on website xmlshareware.com that supposedly offers affordable travel deals. That sounded pretty good since i still want to tan my butt a little and soak the skin in salty waters without paying too much. After searching for cheap vacation packages in Aruba, Mexico, Las Vegas, Caribbean and Bahamas I was actually surprised at the number of affordable ones. Each search gave over 40 - 100 results, at good prices, including flight and hotel reservations. After about 20 minutes of playing around I actually decided to take the step and order a cheap vacation from XMLshareware.com

Ordering process was seamless and easy and I enjoy Brazil a lot (wanted to experience Amazon for a while). Check the website yourself http://www.xmlshareware.com/.
